Most of the tips have come from people who have seen participants’ posts on social media about their whereabouts on Jan. 6. Law enforcement said several social media tips came in with photos and video that tied 3 South Florida men to the mob attack. Investigators said they received tips about Felipe Marquez, a Coral Springs man, after he allegedly posted numerous videos to his Snapchat account. One of them lives in a gated community in Coral Springs. The FBI took Marquez into custody from his Coral Springs home early this week. The FBI said he posted videos of himself outside and inside of the Capitol during the riot even writing in a social media post, “We just went ahead and stormed the Capitol. The FBI is still taking tips about the events that happened at the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6.

A Deerfield Beach man’s Instagram story showed a struggle with Capitol police to open a door to the Capitol on Jan. 6, feds say. A Coral Springs man, Felipe Marquez, 25, was charged with illegally entering the Capitol grounds and disorderly conduct. And Gabriel Garcia, a Miami member of the extremist Proud Boys group, made his first appearance in federal court Tuesday over allegations he participated in the siege.

Sam Camargo’s Instagram story shows a struggle with Capitol police to open a door to the Capitol on Jan. 6, feds say. In the federal complaint, FBI agents say they contacted Camargo on the phone, claiming he admitted to attending the pro-Trump protest. They say Camargo became uncooperative, questioning the agents’ loyalty to the Constitution. Local 10 News has confirmed Garcia faced a federal judge Tuesday after his arrest.
