A water main break in Broward County has caused two schools to cancel classes on Thursday.

In honor of National School Breakfast Week, the Broward County Public Schools Food and Nutrition Services announced Saturday that they awarded a student with a $1,000 prize.

A middle school was put on lockdown and sheriff's deputies were called after the report of a possible weapon on campus.

Parents of the students at Falcon Cove Middle School are hoping for a change after a route change is causing their commute times to be more than double what it is supposed to be.
