The death of William Tetrault, 89, comes about 10 days after the highly contagious illness killed another military veteran who also lived at the 120-bed facility. William Tetrault, a veteran of the Korean War, died of COVID-19, his family announced on Tuesday. (Local 10 News Share)Danny Burgess, the executive director of the FDVA, released a statement saying the second Alexander Nininger State Veterans Nursing Home resident to die of COVID-19 suffered complications with a related illness. According to the Florida Department of Health, the Centers for Disease Control and Protection has confirmed 48 cases of COVID-19 in Pembroke Pines.
