According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the driver of a white Volkswagen was heading northbound in the southbound lanes near Killian Drive when he crashed into a Miami-Dade police officer, before ricocheting into a white Jeep. The driver of the Volkswagen died at the scene. Miami-Dade Fire Rescue personnel took them both to Jackson South Medical Center. One person was killed in this police-involved crash on the Don Shula Expressway.
