MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. - A 15-year-old boy was killed and his mother was seriously injured Wednesday in a crash on Interstate 95 in Miami-Dade County, authorities said. The crash was reported in the southbound express lanes north of Northwest 95th Street. Authorities said a woman inside the Nissan and her teenage son were taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital's Ryder Trauma Center, where the teen died. The teen's mother was unconscious when she was taken to the hospital, authorities said. All southbound lanes were closed in the area after the crash and drivers were directed to exit at Northwest 103rd Street.

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. - A 67-year-old man admitted to having three to four beers Tuesday before he crashed his black Dodge RAM into a gas station convenience store in Fort Lauderdale, authorities said. Fort Lauderdale police said Ligas' breath smelled of alcohol and he had red/bloodshot water eyes, slurred speech, eye lid tremors and a flushed face. According to police, the crash occurred shortly before 2:30 p.m. at the Exxon station convenience store on Northeast Fourth Avenue near Northeast 13th Street. A tow truck was used to remove the black Dodge RAM from inside the store. The store reopened late Tuesday afternoon with just a section of it closed off.

Shelby American, a manufacturer of high-performance cars, originally made Shelby Mustangs by customizing Mustangs purchased from Ford. And Ford now makes its own Shelby Mustangs such as the GT500 and the 562 horsepower Shelby GT350.
