One discrepancy in the death of actor Gene Hackman, wife Betsy Arakawa and one of their three beloved dogs has been resolved after authorities mistakenly identified the deceased dog as a German shepherd.

Betsy Arakawa, a concert pianist and co-founder of a home furnishing business, was found dead Wednesday in her Santa Fe, New Mexico, home along with actor-husband Gene Hackman and their dog, according to authorities.

A search warrant shows that Oscar-winner Gene Hackman, his wife and one of their dogs had been dead for some time when a maintenance worker discovered their bodies at the couple's Santa Fe, New Mexico, home.
