Deputies arrested a 22-year-old Miami-Dade County fugitive on Sunday in north central Florida.

An Oregon court has ruled that local governments in the state can’t declare themselves Second Amendment sanctuaries and ban police from enforcing certain gun laws.

Agents arrested former Columbia County records supervisor Karina M. Vercher, 60, of Lake City, on one felony count of scheme to defraud and three felony counts of official misconduct.

The first court test of whether local governments can ban police from enforcing certain gun laws is playing out in a rural Oregon county.
