Attorney Sam Rabin said the law enforcement response to the Coral Gables home of Sergio Pino, a prominent developer and philanthropist, was “unprecedented and unnecessary.”

Prominent South Florida developer Sergio Pino was found dead following an FBI raid “connected to an ongoing murder-for-hire investigation” at his home in Coral Gables Tuesday morning, officials said; his attorney says he took his own life.

A man turned up dead on Friday in Coral Gables. His body — which police reported was “in advanced decomposition” — was floating in a canal near Cocoplum.
