Local 10 sister station WKMG reported that an initial investigation found that the shot at the service came from an accidental discharge from a gun carried by a 16-year-old attending the burial, citing information from Brevard County Sheriff’s deputies. The shot penetrated the teen’s leg and impacted Pierce’s leg, WKMG reported.

The Brevard County Sheriff's Office received a tip over the weekend that Acasia Fuscaldo, wanted on three felony violation of probation warrants, could be found inside a Cocoa motel room. When Officer Brian Delos Santos arrived at the room with his K-9 partner Kyra, Fuscaldo's husband was more than happy to let the duo inside. The Brevard County Sheriff's Office said it perfectly in their Facebook post:"So the moral of the story is simply this...if you are going to play hide and seek with the cops dont do it with the one who has a K-9 partner."

The woman was parked on the lawn of a home in Cocoa Friday evening. She was getting ready to leave when the cat pounced into the car and attacked, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. Troopers said the woman scrambled out of the vehicle to get away from the feline, but she forgot the car was in reverse. The car rolled over her, into the street and then struck a parked car.
