North Miami Beach police Maj. Richard Rand said Tuesday that Cargill was killed just a day after another man was shot five times in the head just four or five blocks away. David Wayland, 50, was shot five times in the head on Saturday, Jan. 4, 2020, in North Miami Beach, authorities said. Damien Jarmard Garvin, 34, was arrested in connection with the fatal shooting of 50-year-old David Wayland in North Miami Beach.
