The crash was reported around 1:30 a.m. in the area of Northwest 16th Street and North State Road 7. As the Mercedes was turning left, the two vehicles collided, sending the BMW crashing into a nearby bus stop, Santiago said. Florida Highway Patrol responded to the scene at 7:15 a.m. and found the yellow Corvette overturned on the grassy shoulder of the ramp. The driver was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected from the vehicle, according to police. The man, whose name has not been released, was pronounced dead at the scene. The case is still pending investigation, but police believe speed was a factor.

According to Florida Highway Patrol Lt. Alex Camacho, one of the women was driving a silver Nissan sedan when she lost control of the car while making a right turn on the entrance ramp to northbound Interstate 95 from the westbound lanes of I-195. Two women were killed the morning of Jan. 6, 2020, when their silver Nissan sedan crashed into a concrete barrier wall. The passenger was taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital’s Ryder Trauma Center, where she died. The northbound ramp to I-95 was closed after the crash and reopened shortly before 11 a.m.
