SEMINOLE COUNTY, Fla. – A Bradenton man is accused of using $7.2 million from Paycheck Protection Program funds to buy a Central Florida mansion and three luxury cars, according to court records. Records show Cisternino applied for a Paycheck Protection Program loan established as part of the federal CARES Act relief bill. Prosecutors said Cisternino is accused of using the money to buy a Maserati, a $89,000 Lincoln Navigator, a $251,000 Mercedes-Benz and a $3.1 million home in Chuluota. AdCisternino is accused of saying MagnifiCo had 441 employees with an average monthly payroll of $2.88 million. Records show after the application the Small Business Administration issued $7.2 million in PPP funds to MagnifiCo.

MIAMI – A Miami man was taken into custody in Bradenton after he killed his estranged wife in front of their son, authorities confirmed. According to his arrest warrant, Damian Calixtro was upset over the separation of him and his wife, Amara Calixtro, 38. According to the warrant, Calixtro then drove his son to Naples, where he attempted to drop off the boy at his sister’s home. BRADENTON, Fla. – Florida authorities say they’ve filed a voter fraud charge against a man who said he said he “wanted to test the system” when he tried to obtain a mail-in ballot for his deceased wife. Manatee County Supervisor of Elections Mike Bennett said he contacted the sheriff’s office after a review of voter rolls. Bennett said his staff reviews the voter rolls for each mail-in ballot request and it was discovered the woman had been deceased for two years. They determined that Wiggins forged his late wife’s name on the ballot request, according to the Bradenton Herald. Researchers say that voter fraud in general is rare in the United States.

BRADENTON, Fla. – A memorial service was held Thursday for a Florida Highway Patrol trooper who was killed in the line of duty. Family, friends and colleagues from throughout the state gathered to say goodbye to Trooper Joseph Bullock in his hometown of Bradenton. Florida Highway Patrol Trooper Joseph Bullock was fatally shot while helping a motorist on Interstate 95 in Martin County. Shortly thereafter, a Riviera Beach police officer who was passing by shot Reed, killing him. Ron DeSantis was among the attendees at Bullock’s memorial service.

There they found the body of 30-year-old Joel Parks, Capt. Parks was a man with disabilities who lived in a group home during the week and with his grandmother, Lillian Parks, on the weekend. In this case, I don't know if she's thinking about the wellbeing of her grandson or if she's thinking about herself," Thiers said, according to CNN affiliate WFLA. Police are awaiting a toxicology report to determine what was given to Joel, WFLA reported.
