Hurricanes Beryl and Debby have already wreaked havoc this summer and we are just a few short weeks away from the peak of hurricane season.

The misery of Houston’s lasting power outages extend beyond the big city and onto surrounding farms and ranches, where everything from animal bedding to feed is harder to come by since Hurricane Beryl turned off the lights.

Hurricane Beryl’s estimated death toll was 18 including 11 in the Caribbean and six in Texas. It left millions without power and many people in need picking up the pieces in Texas, Louisiana, and the Caribbean.

Texas officials are telling coastal residents to expect power outages and flooding as Beryl was forecast to regain hurricane strength before making landfall.

After hitting Mexico’s Yucatan Peninsula and downgrading to a tropical storm, Beryl is expected to once again become a hurricane as it hurtles towards southern Texas by Sunday evening.
