A little more than a week after announcing his plan to nominate a Miami-Dade commissioner as ambassador to Panama, President-elect Donald Trump is once again looking to South Florida to fill a diplomatic role.

Benjamín León, Jr., the founder and chairman of Leon Medical Centers, announced a donation of $10 million to build a $40 million home for Florida International University’s CasaCuba cultural and academic center.
