The Fort Lauderdale Police Department is investigating a fatal crash that occurred Wednesday night.

A water main break prompted police officers to close Bayview Drive on Tuesday night in Fort Lauderdale.

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – City officials released an update on the sewer main repair currently underway at George English Park. Neighbors are reminded that the boat ramp and adjacent parking lot in George English Park are part of an active construction zone and they’l remain closed while repairs take place. The playground, tennis courts and basketball courts at George English Park remain open to the public. George English Lagoon and the George English Park Boat Ramp are closed until further notice, city officials said. Wood Environmental and Infrastructure Solutions is assisting with remediation of the George English Lagoon.

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – Crews in Fort Lauderdale began working early Monday morning after responding to a sewer main break in George English Park. It is the 11th water or sewer main break since December in the city. The break may be in a 14-inch sewer line that is connected to a nearby pumping station, according to authorities.
