Sky 10 was overhead at the Hard Rock Stadium where, for the first time, seniors who secured an appointment for a shot were able to receive doses. Hard Rock Stadium is the first state-run, drive-thru, appointment-only location to open in Florida. We don’t have the resources to accommodate them,” said Mike Jachles, chair of the Florida Association of Public Information Officers, who was at the Hard Rock site on Friday. Hard Rock Stadium has 1,000 appointments available per day over the next 7 days with additional appointments dependent on additional vaccine allocated by the government.

The nurses joined the #WeStayAtWorkForYou worldwide plea after Miami Beach closed hotels Friday night in preparation for a nightly curfew at the entertainment district in an effort to contain the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. As of Saturday morning, the Florida Department of Health reported the Centers for Disease Control and Protection had confirmed 510 COVID-19 cases in Florida residents. According to the state data, nearly 45% of those cases were in Miami-Dade and Broward counties. Officials reported 128 confirmed cases in Broward and 123 cases in Miami-Dade.

Read full article: Construction worker suffers long fall on roof of Baptist Hospital in KendallKENDALL, Fla. – A construction worker suffered a long fall on the roof of a building under construction at Baptist Hospital in Kendall, authorities said Tuesday. Sky 10 was above the hospital at 8900 N. Kendall Drive shortly after 9 a.m. as the worker was lowered down from the roof in a Stokes basket. Miami-Dade Fire Rescue officials said the building in question does not yet have stairs. The worker was then placed into an awaiting ambulance. Circumstances surrounding the fall and the worker's condition were not immediately released, although he appeared to be conscious when he was being placed into the ambulance.
