Officers responded to the MiLa Apartments at 20901 San Simeon Way and found one victim there, according to Detective Lee Cowart, a spokesman for the Miami-Dade Police Department,Officers found a second victim who they suspect was also injured in the same shooting at the nearby Aventura Hospital, Cowart said according to the preliminary investigation. A 48-year-old Fort Lauderdale man was killed Sunday night when he jumped out of the window of a moving Lyft ride on I-95 and then was hit by another vehicle. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the Lyft was heading south on I-95, just south of Hallandale Beach Boulevard after 8 p.m. The man fell into the right lane and was hit by a vehicle that continued driving south without stopping. The man was taken to Aventura Hospital where he died from his injuries. Authorities have not yet identified the man, as they are notifying family members.

Hospitals in Miami-Dade and Broward county are seeing beds in intensive care units dwindling. Nurses from across the state are on their way to Jackson Memorial Hospital to help with staffing needs at that hospital.

According to police, an officer spotted the couple May 13 in a Honda Accord that was reported stolen in Hollywood. Police said the officer ordered the suspects out of the car, but Kenneth Taylor, 19, took off in the second floor of the parking garage near Bloomingdale's, nearly hitting the officer. Police said Taylor struck the officer's vehicle, as well as a number of other vehicles in the garage and a garage pillar. The video shows Taylor lay on the ground as responding officers arrest him at gunpoint.
