POMPANO BEACH, Fla. – A man and a woman were taken into custody Friday morning following a police chase on Florida’s Turnpike in Broward County. The chase ended at the Pompano Beach service station just north of Atlantic Boulevard. Authorities attempted to pull the car over, but the man refused to stop, leading to a chase, Prichard said,According to Prichard, deputies pursued the vehicle until the man bailed out at the service station and ran off. A woman who was a passenger in the vehicle was also apprehended in the parking lot. Prichard said the man involved in the chase is a convicted felon with an active warrant out of Osceola County for fleeing and eluding.

MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. - Police were searching a canal in Miami Gardens after someone called authorities to report that a body was floating in the water. Local 10 News reporter Alex Finnie was at the scene in the 1400 block of Northwest 155th Street as authorities blocked off the area with police tape. According to Miami Gardens police, officers were called in reference to a bag floating in the canal. Finnie said crews could be seen on either side of the canal, which was lined by homes. Authorities later confirmed that the bag contained "non human remains."

OAKLAND PARK, Fla. - The family of Noah Sneed, 2, who died after being left in a hot day care van for several hours, is preparing to lay the beloved toddler to rest. Broward Sheriff's Office deputies said Noah died July 29 after being left in the van for five hours outside Ceressa's Daycare & Preschool in Oakland Park. Authorities said Noah was also not in the proper safety seat and the daily transportation checklist log was not done that day. Noah's funeral visitation is being held Friday evening in Fort Lauderdale and his home-going service will be on Saturday.

OPA-LOCKA, Fla. – A large fire erupted Friday morning at a used auto parts business in Opa-locka, authorities said. Sky 10 was above AAAA Used Auto Parts at 12766 Cairo Lane shortly after 9:30 a.m. as numerous scrapped vehicles were on fire. Firefighters arrived at the scene at 9:42 a.m. Daniel Lanbman works close by at Minton Auto Shop. The owner of AAAA Used Auto Parts said nine vehicles were destroyed.
