It wasn’t until Miret saw Local 10′s report that he realized the guys who he said stole from his store have been busy. “They came in, and they were casing the gas station for beer,” he said. One instance caught on surveillance video shows the thieves getting away with, not beer, but nearly $120 worth of air fresheners. MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. Police have identified Jeffrey Marlin Dumersaint as the 19-year-old man who was shot and killed Monday at a 7-Eleven store near the border of Miami-Dade and Broward counties. Investigators from the Miami-Dade Police Department say Robert Caleb, 32, pulled a semiautomatic handgun from his backpack and shot Dumersaint multiple times after the two were fighting at the gas station at 1000 NE 215th St. around 3:30 p.m. Monday. Caleb ran after the shooting but was taken into custody several blocks south of the scene, police say. According to an arrest report, he told detectives that the fight began after Dumersaint almost hit him with his car as he was walking toward that 7-Eleven. Police say two vehicles crashed in the roadway in front of the gas station as they attempted to avoid shots being fired, but the occupants were not shot or injured.

The shooting occurred about 12:30 a.m. at the 7-Eleven on Oakland Park Boulevard near Northeast Sixth Avenue. Prichard said the fight spilled out into the parking lot, where the clerk was shot once. Prichard declined to say what led to the dispute, but a man whose friend works at the 7-Eleven told Local 10 News it all started because of a cigar. "The safety and well-being of 7-Eleven franchisees and customers is of utmost importance," 7-Eleven said in a statement.

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. - A teenager is facing a charge of attempted murder after stabbing another teen during a fight at a 7-Eleven in Coral Springs, police said. The 14-year-old suspect appeared before a Broward County judge in juvenile court Friday afternoon. According to a probable cause affidavit, the teen confessed to stabbing the victim Thursday after meeting a group of teens in the parking lot of the 7-Eleven on West Sample Road to resolve an ongoing dispute. The victim was taken to Broward Health Medical Center to be treated for a collapsed lung. A judge ordered that the suspect remain in juvenile detention until his next court appearance.

CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. - Police are investigating after a teenager was stabbed Thursday afternoon in Coral Springs. According to police, a group of teens gathered at a 7-Eleven located at 11650 W. Sample Road in Coral Springs. "It looked like the juveniles were getting together and possibly going to fight," a police spokesman said. Police were called to a disturbance and found one teen with stab wounds to his abdomen and chest. A 15-year-old was taken to Broward Health Medical Center, where he was listed in stable condition.

NORTH MIAMI, Fla. - North Miami police are searching for an armed robber who targeted a 7-Eleven convenience store this week. According to police, the man asked one of the clerks, "Where is the money?" before jumping over the counter and ordering the clerk to open the cash register. Police said the man grabbed the tray containing the cash and then jumped back over the counter and ran out of the store. A suspect is in custody after a fatal stabbing spree in Southern California. GARDEN GROVE, Calif. - A man went on a robbery and stabbing rampage in Southern California, killing four people before officers arrested him outside a 7-Eleven, police said. The mayhem started Wednesday evening after the man allegedly stabbed two people to death at an apartment complex in Garden Grove. The suspect also lives in the complex, Garden Grove police Lt. Carl Whitney said at a news conference. In Garden Grove, the man stabbed a female insurance company employee and a man pumping gas multiple times.
