PEMBROKE PARK, Fla. – Majority control in Congress is still an open question as counting in a handful of districts is still underway.
All seven South Florida members of Congress representing Broward, Miami-Dade and Monroe counties were easily re-elected.
Representing the southernmost district, south Miami-Dade through the Florida Keys, is Carlos Gimenez, who won a third term.
The Miami Republican serves on the Homeland Security and Armed Services committees and is one of President elect Trump’s most vocal South Florida supporters.
