PEMBROKE PARK, Fla. – What may be the speediest session in Florida history gaveled in last week with some big change making bills already headed for the house and senate floors.
Some have wide bipartisan support and some are beyond contentious along party lines.
The bill filed literally minutes after the house and senate gaveled in answered the question of “will they or won’t they” propose any bills to restrict pregnancy terminations even further, that also adds exceptions and mandates.
Local 10 News invited the representative and senator who filed the bills to join TWISF to discuss, but they did not respond.
Weston Democrat Robin Bartleman was one of the lawmakers who has shared very publicly her family’s personal experience as an example of what’s to consider.
She joined This Week in South Florida host Glenna Milberg to discuss and their conversation can be seen at the top of this page.
