Anne Maxwell is an award-winning investigative reporter who joined News4Jax in August of 2021. She is thrilled to be in Jacksonville and feels privileged to serve this community.
Anne previously worked at WSPA in Greenville, South Carolina, as a reporter and fill-in anchor. While there, she covered breaking news, city and county government, and broke numerous stories, including about a string of pain management clinics accused of overprescribing opioids and defrauding Medicare and Medicaid.
Anne began her career in her hometown of Augusta, Georgia, as an associate producer for NBC 26, working her way to on-air position at WJBF in Augusta. She also worked as a one-woman investigative unit and contributed as a fill-in anchor and producer. Her investigative reporting exposing how Georgia Power made more than a $1 billion in profits from a nuclear power plant construction project that was billions of dollars over budget and years behind schedule was honored with first place awards from the AP and the Georgia Association of Broadcasters.
Anne graduated Cum Laude from the University of Georgia with degrees in public affairs journalism and history.
She is excited to be part of the Jacksonville community and is hoping to learn the rules of football so she can become a Jags fan.
Anne would love to hear from you!
