ATTENTION: After October 17th at 7 p.m. you may not be able to get your favorite programs from Local 10 if you subscribe to DISH Network.

Please reach out to DISH Network and tell them you want to continue to receive your Local 10 and ABC programs from your local station.

We have been negotiating in good faith with DISH Network, but have not been able to reach a fair and reasonable agreement for retransmission of our programming. DISH Network makes money off of our programming because they charge you for it, so when Local 10 is removed from the DISH Network systems, you are not getting what you pay for.

You can make a difference by calling DISH Network today at 1-800-333-3474 and telling them to please keep carrying your local station. It is helpful to have your account number handy because they will ask for it. Ask for the Customer Retention department if possible.

We know it is an inconvenience for you to be caught in the middle of this situation, and we understand your priority is to continue to have access to your favorite programs from LOCAL 10 and ABC as part of your subscription to DISH Network. Why is this happening?

The station has been negotiating in good faith with DISH Network, but has not been able to reach a fair and reasonable agreement for retransmission of our programming. DISH Network makes money off our programming because they charge you for it, so when we go off the air, you are not getting what you pay for. We are an active part of this community. We provide you a service right here in South Florida with important news and weather information and the entertainment programs you enjoy, and that’s why we need your help.

What can I do?

1. Call DISH Network at 1-800-333-3474 and press 0 to talk to a person. It is helpful if you have your account number ready because they will ask for it. Ask for the Customer Retention department if possible.

What other methods do I have for watching the station’s programming?

1. All station newscasts are streamed live on LOCAL10.com and the LOCAL10 NEWS app.

2. You can purchase an Over-The-Air antenna at your local Walmart, Best Buy or other electronics store, which is a one-time-only expense, and watch our station for free. After you set it up, you will need to follow the manufacturer’s instructions to rescan your channels.

3. You can also watch LOCAL 10 News live on LOCAL10.com and on other connected devices such as Roku TV, Amazon FireTV, Apple TV, Androidtv, and Google TV. Just look for the “LOCAL10 PLUS” app on these devices and watch our livestream for free.

4. Switch to another local provider. Here are several options available locally:

When do you think this issue will be resolved?
