MIAMI – Major League Baseball confirms that it is investigating Miami Marlins pitcher Jarred Cosart due to an allegation of gambling.
According to a report by the Miami New Times, screenshots emerged on Twitter claiming to show the Marlins pitcher taking bets.

After originally removing his account, Cosart, 24, posted what appeared to be a new twitter account in which the pitcher tweeted that he had been hacked.
The new account has not been verified.
"Major League Baseball is investigating the matter and we have no further comment at this time," the Marlins said in a statement.
