They join greats like Carmelo Anthony and Dwight Howard in being chosen Saturday.

The Israeli-born Arison, 75, has owned the Heat since 1995. His father, Ted Arison, brought the team to Miami in 1988.

The billionaire businessman, who is the chairman of Miami-based Carnival Corporation, has also been noted for his philanthropic endeavors in South Florida.

The Miami-born Fowles, 39, spent more than a decade in the WNBA, becoming a WNBA MVP, two-time champion, two-time Finals MVP and eight-time All-Star. She played for the Chicago Sky and Minnesota Lynx.

Before that, though, Fowles played for Miami Edison Senior High School and Gulliver Prep before leaving home to play for Louisiana State University.

She now lives in Cutler Bay.

Others selected include WNBA greats Sue Bird and Maya Moore, Chicago Bulls coach and two-time NCAA champion Billy Donovan and longtime NBA referee Danny Crawford.

Enshrinement weekend is Sept. 5-6 at the Mohegan Sun in Uncasville, Connecticut, and the Hall of Fame in Springfield, Massachusetts.
