MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. – The Miami Dolphins have signed veteran linebacker and Super Bowl Champion Willie Gay Jr. to help bolster their defense, ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler confirmed in a post on X Wednesday.

Gay, 26, played in 15 games with eight starts for the New Orleans Saints last season, recording 28 tackles and two sacks.
The deal is for one year but the exact terms have not been disclosed.
Before joining New Orleans, he spent his first four seasons with the Kansas City Chiefs, where he was part of two Super Bowl-winning teams.
Over his five-year career, Gay has appeared in 72 games with 55 starts, totaling 241 tackles, four interceptions, and seven sacks, according to NFL.com.
The Dolphins also recently announced the signing of linebacker K.J. Britt and cornerback Artie Burns, who played his college ball for the Miami Hurricanes.
