Miami is coming off a 10-win season led by quarterback Cam Ward.
The Washington State transfer was sensational his one year at the U.
Ward is expected to be the top pick in the upcoming NFL draft.
Canes head coach Mario Cristobal went into the transfer portal to replace Ward.
The Canes acquired former Georgia quarterback Carson Beck.
Right now, Beck continues to recover from an elbow injury.
He is not throwing yet at practice, but was seen doing light running afterwards.
