Per the report, Chubb can still earn his full $21 million compensation, but it would come through different incentives built into the contract.
Chubb, 28, was acquired by the Dolphins in a trade with the Denver Broncos during the 2023 season.
He played well for Miami until suffering a major knee injury during a game on Dec. 31, 2023.
Chubb missed the entire 2024 NFL season due to the injury but is expected to be at full strength for the upcoming 2025 campaign.
