According to ESPN’s Shams Charania, the Heat are trading Jimmy Butler to the Golden State Warriors.

The Detroit Pistons and Utah Jazz are also involved in the trade.

Heading back to Miami in the deal is Andrew Wiggins, P.J. Tucker, Kyle Anderson and a top-10 protected 2025 first-round draft pick.

Detroit is receiving Josh Richardson from Miami and Lindy Waters III from Golden State in the deal, per Charania, while Utah will pick up Dennis Schroder and a 2031 second-round pick from the Heat.

The Heat were playing in Philadelphia when the trade was made and there is video circulating on social media showing Miami’s players being told of the trade by fans sitting near their bench.

About an hour later, the Heat defeated the 76ers 108-101.

Miami currently sits in sixth place in the Eastern Conference with 33 games remaining in the regular season, including a visit from Butler and the Warriors to South Florida on March 25.
