MIAMI – The Skylar Thompson era is over with the Miami Dolphins.
According to Thompson’s agent, the quarterback has signed with the Pittsburgh Steelers.

The Dolphins drafted Thompson in the seventh round out of Kansas State.
Head Coach Mike McDaniel and his staff worked to develop Thompson into a backup for Tua Tagovailoa.
This season, the Dolphins brought in Tyler Huntley and he took over the backup job.
Thompson, 27, now gets an opportunity with Mike Tomlin and Pittsburgh.
