MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. – There’s no question that the Dolphins season has been a disappointment so far.
The Fins, who made the Playoffs the first two seasons under Mike McDaniel, are now 6-8.
While not officially eliminated from the postseason, it’s a long-shot.
On Wednesday, head coach Mike McDaniel was asked if he’s worried about his job security.
McDaniel said, “I think I’m very comfortable with the realities within the profession that I’ve chosen. I think the alternative would be to feel entitled... I don’t take for granted getting a team for prepared for an opponent and this day.”
McDaniel added, “You know what it is when you sign up for it, I’m not worried about that in the slightest. I think that would be selfish. If I’m worried about that, I’m not worried about the things I have to offer the players.”
McDaniel acknowledged that the season hasn’t gone how anyone wanted it to go.
He said that his job is not to predict and to expect, his job is to adjust.
The Dolphins host the 49ers on Sunday.
