Cam Ward, Xavier Restrepo named First-Team AP All-Americans

CORAL GABLES, Fla. – Two University of Miami stars received a big honor on Monday.

Quarterback Cam Ward and wide receiver Xavier Restrepo were both named First-Team AP All-Americans.

The dynamic duo helped lead Miami to a 10-2 record and an appearance in the Pop-Tarts Bowl in Orlando.

Miami will play Iowa State on Dec. 28.

Ward transferred to Miami from Washington State and had a huge impact.

He finished fourth in the Heisman Trophy voting.

Ward threw for 4,123 yards with 36 touchdowns and 7 interceptions.

As for Restrepo, he was Ward’s favorite target.

The Senior had 69 catches for 1,127 yards and 11 touchdowns.
