Canes drop to No. 12 in AP Poll following loss at Georgia Tech

CORAL GABLES, Fla. – The Miami Hurricanes took a tumble in the polls on Sunday.

Miami fell from No. 4 to No. 12 in the latest AP Poll.

Miami lost their first game of the season on Saturday at Georgia Tech.

The Canes fell “28 to 23″ to the Yellow Jackets.

Miami’s record is now 9-1 on the season.

The Canes have 2 remaining ACC regular season games.

If the Canes win out, they’ll play in the ACC Championship game.

If the Canes win the ACC Championship game, they’ll be in the College Football Playoff.

So while Sunday’s drop is disappointing, Miami still controls their own destiny.

The Canes have a bye week before their final regular season home game.

Miami hosts Wake Forest on Nov. 23.
