Keeper of the Cup Phil Pritchard chats about Panthers fun summer with Lord Stanley

SUNRISE, Fla. – Opening Night for the Florida Panthers has arrived.

Before the game, the Panthers will be raising their first Stanley Cup Championship banner to the rafters at Amerant Bank Arena in Sunrise.

Back in June, Florida defeated the Edmonton Oilers in a memorable seven-game series to win the Stanley Cup.

In the time since, members of the team have taken turns spending a day with the Cup and doing whatever in the world they wanted with it.

Pro Hockey Hall of Fame’s Phil Pritchard is the Keeper of the Cup and is one of the people who is always with the historic trophy, day and night, wherever it goes.

On Tuesday, Local 10′s Will Manso caught up with Pritchard before the Panthers faced off against the Boston Bruins.
