MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. ā The Miami Dolphins might be without one of their key defensive starters when they host the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday.
Ramsey, 29, was not spotted during the portion of practice open to the media on Thursday due to an apparent hamstring injury that has held him out of practice for the last couple of weeks.

Ramsey missed the first seven games of the 2023 season after he sustained a knee injury while guarding Tyreek Hill in training camp.
Despite missing nearly half of the season, Ramsey still earned his seventh consecutive Pro Bowl nod. He was also ranked No. 25 on the Top 100 NFL Players list in 2024 by his peers.
The Dolphins will likely turn to cornerbacks Kendall Fuller, Kader Kohou, Ethan Bonner and undrafted rookie Storm Duck to fill the void of the All-Pro Ramsey.
It wonāt be an easy task for the Dolphins secondary as the Jaguars come to town with a cast of playmakers that include quarterback Trevor Lawrence, running back Travis Etienne, wide receivers Christian Kirk and Brian Thomas Jr. and tight end Evan Engram.
Dolphins defensive coordinator Anthony Weaver told reporters Thursday that he was āhopefulā Ramsey would be able to play Week 1, according to Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald.
Weaver also acknowledged the fact Miami hosts the Bills next Thursday stating, āWe have to be cognizant that we have two games in five days.ā
The Dolphins will have to make a decision soon when it comes to the availability of their star defensive back as they get ready to host the Jags at 1 p.m. Sunday at Hard Rock Stadium.
