MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. – A week after making strong comments against his former head coach, Tua Tagovailoa had less to say on Monday.

Last week, Tagovailoa called Brian Flores a “terrible person” in an interview with Dan Le Batard.

Flores, now Vikings defensive coordinator, responded that he wished his former quarterback well and that he learned from his experiences in Miami.

Flores also added that he would be open to talking to Tagovailoa.

Tagovailoa said that he has not heard from Flores since the interview came out.

The quarterback said, “I haven’t seen his comment publicly... There’s nothing more I’d like to add to that.”

Tagovailoa was asked about when Flores decided to start Tagovailoa instead of veteran Ryan Fitzpatrick.

Tagovailoa said, “That’s a great question. I’m not going to answer that truthfully right now, but I think I know why. I won’t speculate.. whatever you want to create to think, think that. I think that will stay here with the organization.”
