MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. – Dolphins wide receiver River Cracraft is expected to miss a portion of the regular season after sustaining an upper-body injury in the team’s 13-6 victory over the Washington Commanders in Week 2 of the preseason.

‘It will be some time, for sure. It doesn’t appear to be season-ending, but it will be some time,” said head coach Mike McDaniel when talking about Cracraft’s injury.

Cracraft was the only player to score in Saturday’s game after Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa dropped it in his bucket on 4th-and-1 to give Miami a 6-0 lead.

The Dolphins are now expected to fill the void by giving Braxton Berrios, Erik Ezukanma, Braylon Sanders, Willie Snead IV and rookie Malik Washington a chance to win the team’s fourth and fifth spots at wide receiver.

Miami is also awaiting the return of Odell Beckham Jr., who signed as a free agent back in May.

Cracraft, 29, finished with 9 catches, 121 yards and a TD in 2023.

Miami (2-0) will travel to Raymond James Stadium to face the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (1-1) at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday.
