Quarterback Tua Tagovailoa met with the media on Tuesday.

He talked about the benefit of playing time.

Tagovailoa said, “Get some reps, getting back into the pregame routine, get back into the feel of what it feels like to prepare get ready for a game, getting into game-like situations, getting hit, hopefully not.”

Tagovailoa said the team leaders meet with head coach Mike McDaniel to discuss how much they’ll play.

As for the grind of training camp, Tagovailoa said, “You start into the future of things then you start to think of unnecessary things.. you have to get through this practice, this rep, this play. After practice is over, what’s the next thing I have to focus on.”

Tagovailoa talked about the absence of newly-acquired Odell Beckham Junior who has been out since the start of camp.

Tagovailoa said he was able to throw a bit with Beckham Junior, but not routes.

Tagovailoa said, “I think it’s more confidence for him, when he can start running and catching balls and seeing it with guys across from him. It’s a whole other thing, where to line up.”
