MIAMI – The injury update for Inter Miami’s Lionel Messi isn’t promising.
The star went down on Sunday during the Copa America Final as he represented his home country of Argentina.

Messi suffered a ligament injury in his right ankle, according to the team.
Inter Miami stating that “The captain’s availability will be determined by periodic assessments and the progress of his recovery.”
Messi was seen crying on the sidelines after getting hurt on Sunday.
His national team was still able to capture the championship with a 1-0 win over Colombia.
