Copa America final in Miami: Watch parties in Miami-Dade include outdoor theater, mall

Hard Rock Stadium is not allowing parking lot watch parties for non-ticket holders

MIAMI – Many local Colombian-American and Argentinian-American fans couldn’t afford to buy tickets for the Copa América 2024 final on Sunday in Miami Gardens.

Many traveled far hoping to cheer for Argentina and Colombia outside The Hard Rock Stadium as fans often do in other parts of the world. That won’t be happening.

The stadium staff announced that “fans MUST have game tickets” to be in the property and there will not be formal or informal watch parties outside the stadium or in the parking lots.

There will be several public watch parties in Miami-Dade County. Argentinians and Colombians already have their regular choice of restaurants and bars to help cure the nostalgia of living away from their countries.

Fans may visit the mall in Aventura to explore the exhibits and shop, later go to the Wynwood Marketplace for the ambiance, and then head to Miami Beach where there are two very different watch parties at a poolside club and a theater with a screen.
