‘We’ll be ready’: Florida Panthers excited for historic Game 7 vs. Edmonton Oilers

SUNRISE, Fla. – It’s winner-take-all as the Florida Panthers get ready to host the Edmonton Oilers in Game 7 of the Stanley Cup Final on Monday night.

The Panthers, who were up 3-0 in the series, have seen the Oilers mount a fierce comeback, adding to the drama of the final game.

The team practiced at Amerant Bank Arena in Sunrise Monday morning, maximizing their preparation for their last shot at Lord Stanley’s Cup.

“It’s the most exciting opportunity you could dream about as a hockey player,” said Panthers left wing Ryan Lomberg. “With that in mind, it’s obviously a little bit tougher to fall asleep, but I got some sleep. I feel great and we’ll be ready.”

The series has been electric, but tense, with fans feeling the pressure alongside the team.

“We’re behind two steps. I don’t know what’s going on. They need to just come back. We have to bring it home here,” a Panthers fan told Local 10 News.

“Buy your plane ticket now. Get ready to get back early. We’ll be ready to go and make sure they go back to Canada sleeping,” said Panthers fan Anthony Coletta.

The outcome of Game 7 will be a historic moment for the Panthers, who could either win their first Stanley Cup in franchise history or face the heartbreak of blowing a 3-0 lead. The Oilers will also be looking to bring Canada its first Stanley Cup since 1993 when the Montreal Canadians accomplished the feat.

The last and only time a 3-0 comeback has come in Stanley Cup Final history was in 1942 when the Toronto Maple Leafs came back against the Detroit Red Wings and won the series.

Ticket prices reflect the intensity of the moment, with seats for Game 7 on StubHub ranging from $900 to $1,300 for upper-mid ice seats, $3,500 for lower mid-ice seats and $8,000 for glass-side seats as

As the Panthers prepare for this decisive game, fans and players alike are bracing for an unforgettable night.

Game 7 airs at 8 p.m. right here on Local 10.

Hockey fans can also tune in to Local 10′s Chasing the Cup pre-game show starting at 7:30 p.m.
