FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – The Florida Panthers will host the Edmonton Oilers on Monday night in Game 7 of the Stanley Cup Final.

It will be the biggest hockey game in Panthers history, the most significant to ever be played in the state of Florida and will likely be one of the most watched Cup Final games ever.

Edmonton enters Monday’s matchup having won each of the past three games, directly on the heels of the Panthers jumping out to a commanding 3-0 series lead.

Now thing are back to even, and both teams have a chance to win one game to claim the Stanley Cup.

“There’s kind of a clean slate,” said Florida Head Coach Paul Maurice. “Both teams have fought real hard to get to the very end.”

After returning from Alberta on Saturday, the Panthers held what will end up being their final full team practice of the season.

Two notable absences, goaltender Sergei Bobrovsky and defenseman Aaron Ekblad, are both expected to suit up for Monday’s Game 7.

In terms of changes from Friday’s loss in Edmonton, Panthers forward Vladimir Tarasenko was seen taking reps on the top power play unit during Sunday’s skate.

He replaced Carter Verhaeghe, who took Tarasenko’s spot on the second PP unit.

Verhaeghe was also seen taking even strength line shifts with Sasha Barkov and Sam Reinhart.

Florida’s leading Cup Final scorer Evan Rodrigues slid down to the Sam Bennett line with Matthew Tkachuk.

“It’s very exciting,” said Tkachuk. “It’s a very even series, I feel like. It all comes down to this.”

Florida and the Oilers will play Game 7 of the Stanley Cup Final Monday in Sunrise.

The puck drops from Amerant Bank Arena at 8 p.m.
