‘We will learn:’ Panthers look to bounce back after Game 4 blowout loss vs. Oilers

SUNRISE, Fla. – The Florida Panthers know they will need to have a short-term memory after losing 8-1 in Game 4 vs. the Edmonton Oilers on Saturday night.

The Panthers are still in very good shape as the team will get another chance to hoist Lord Stanley’s Cup, but this time in their own building.

Local 10 News spoke with Panthers captain Aleksander Barkov who said he knows his team can’t take their foot off the gas after being just one victory away from winning their first Stanley Cup in franchise history.

“We either obviously we either win or we learn, and I think we learn a lot from this game,” said Barkov. “We know they’re a really good team. They play really well and obviously, we need to learn from that.”

It was a scoring onslaught for the Oilers in Game 4.

Edmonton star Connor McDavid, who is considered by many to be the best player in the world of hockey, scored his first goal of the series in the second period of Game 4. McDavid finally finding the back of the net was part of an eight-goal scoring outburst from the Oilers.

Despite the route, Panthers fans remain confident the team will bounce back on Tuesday.

“Every time we have lost by that much, we have come back and completely destroyed the team the next game,” said diehard Panthers fan Robert Ross.

“We have all the faith in the world in them they are going to be successful Tuesday Night,” said Panthers fan Charles Levinson.

It won’t be cheap if you want to be inside Amerant Bank Arena for the possible Cup-clinching Game 5.

Upper-deck seats are running as high as $1,000 per ticket on Stubhub.com, with lower bowl mid-ice seats running about $3,500 each as of Monday afternoon.

To sit on the glass mid-ice, tickets will cost as much as $6,000 each.

The puck for Game 5 is set to drop on Tuesday at 8 p.m. from Amerant Bank Arena in Sunrise and hockey fans will be able to get a chance to watch the game right here at Local 10.

Hockey fans can also tune in to Local 10′s Chasing the Cup pre-game show starting at 7:30 p.m.
