FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – Alexander Barkov is the captain of the Florida Panthers.
He’s not only a superstar for what he does on the ice, but also for what he does for the children at Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital.

“Children have the opportunity to feel like children and not like they’re sick,” said Kevin Janser, with the hospital.
Barkov donates $1,600 for every goal he scores and $800 for every assist. He also donates a suite at Panthers home games for children and their families.
This is the fifth season that Barkov has been a part of this program.
With his two assists in Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Final, his total lifetime donation has reached $416,000.
Barkov and the Panthers lead the Stanley Cup Final 2-0.
