“Children have the opportunity to feel like children and not like they’re sick,” said Kevin Janser, with the hospital.

Barkov donates $1,600 for every goal he scores and $800 for every assist. He also donates a suite at Panthers home games for children and their families.

This is the fifth season that Barkov has been a part of this program.

With his two assists in Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Final, his total lifetime donation has reached $416,000.

Barkov and the Panthers lead the Stanley Cup Final 2-0.

Game 3 from Edmonton will take place on Thursday at 8 p.m. and you can catch it on Local 10.
