BOSTON – The Miami Heat are getting ready to try to make an impact in their first round Playoff series against the Boston Celtics.

The Heat were run out of the building of Game 1 in Boston.

Miami had a day off on Monday, but returned to practice on Tuesday.

The Heat players say the day off was used to watch film and assess what happened in Game 1.

One play that gathered plenty of attention in Boston was a hard foul late in the game by Caleb Martin on Celtics star Jayson Tatum.

One Celtics analyst even suggested that Heat head coach Erik Spoelstra called a timeout and ordered a ‘code red’ against Tatum.

Spoelstra talked about the foul on Tuesday.

Spoelstra said, “It was an irrational assessment on our view of what actually happened. The players are fine. This is good, clean, tough, physical Playoff basketball and it always has been with Boston and us.”

For his part, Caleb Martin said if anyone knows him, they’d know he’d never try to hurt someone intentionally.

Martin added, “If the roles were reversed no one would be calling it a Code Red.”

Game 2 is Wednesday night.
