Miami Hurricanes head coach Mario Cristobal described how quarterback Cam Ward has grown during the teamās Spring Practice.

Cristobal said, āHe earned trust in the fact that heās up there in the office every waking free moment that he has. He gets there early and he leaves late.ā
Cristobal said Ward spends time with all his teammates.
The former Washington State quarterback appreciated the praise from his head coach.
Ward said, āIt means everything. Me, myself playing a lot of football thatās something that I feel as a quarterback you have to win over the guys in the locker room.ā
Ward said in order to win that trust is to be a team player with the coaches and teammates.
Ward said, āItās been everything that I expected when I came here. The cultureās perfect for what Coach Cristobalās been doing. Iām just happy to be here.ā
Ward said that he has enjoyed the fishing in South Florida, but isnāt a big fan of the traffic on the road.
Ward said that he has had to make an adjustment from thinking that heās ready for the NFL draft to knowing that heās not yet done in college.
Ward said, āThereās still food left on the table for myself, for this team.ā
The Hurricanes have their Spring Game on Saturday.
