MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. – Miami Dolphins left tackle Terron Armstead said after the 2023 NFL season that he would “take his time” deciding whether to return for another year.
Now, it appears the 32-year-old is expected to forgo retirement, according to the Miami Herald’s Barry Jackson.

Armstead has battled multiple injuries throughout his entire career, missing a combined 11 games in his two years with the Dolphins.
But despite the time missed, the five-time Pro Bowler has been one of the game’s most respected blind-side blockers when healthy.
Armstead signed a five-year, $75 million deal prior to the 2022 season and remains under contract through 2026. He is owed more than $20M in 2024, per Over the Cap.
The Dolphins could decide to renegotiate his contract after looking to re-sign Armstead’s fellow starting offensive linemen Connor Williams and Robert Hunt, both of whom are scheduled to become free agents and free to negotiate with all 31 other teams -- starting March 11.
The Dolphins are entering a critical season for quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, who’s approaching the final year of his rookie contract. Keeping the left tackle on board for another year should help his production in 2024.
And speaking of accomplished LTs ... the full expectation is that Miami's Terron Armstead will play next season, I was re-assured yesterday. The classy Armstead had left his future in doubt in Jan. remarks. His salary- already partially guaranteed-becomes fully guaranteed March16 https://t.co/iV287gtkRP
