MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. – The Miami Dolphins are preparing for their Week 17 matchup with the Baltimore Ravens without one of their key stars on offense.
Mike McDaniel told the media on Friday that wide receiver Jaylen Waddle will not be playing on Sunday after he suffered a high ankle sprain during last week’s battle with the Dallas Cowboys.

Without Waddle, the Dolphins will turn to a receiving cast that includes Tyreek Hill, Cedrick Wilson, Braxton Berrios, River Cracraft and Chase Claypool.
McDaniel said Robbie Chosen could also be activated for Sunday’s game as he is in the final stages of concussion protocol.
Miami also has three wide receivers (Braylon Sanders, Anthony Schwartz and Freddie Swain) on the practice squad that they could call up, if necessary.
Waddle’s absence is a big loss for the Dolphins after the receiver recorded his third straight 1,000-yard season, becoming the first receiver in team history to hit the milestone.
Waddle’s most productive game last season came in Week 2 against the Ravens where he recorded over 170 yards receiving and 2 touchdowns, including the game-winner to complete the largest comeback of quarterback Tua Tagovailoa’s career.
On Sunday, Miami will look to gain possession of the No.1 seed in the AFC and a victory against Baltimore will clinch an AFC East Championship, their first since 2008.
