Miami simply needed to take a knee to run out the clock and defeat the Yellow Jackets.

Instead, the Hurricanes ran the football.

That led to a Don Chaney Jr. fumble, a Georgia Tech touchdown, and a shocking loss.

Cristobal said, “I made the wrong call. I take full ownership in not taking a knee and giving them the opportunity to have a couple of extra plays and preventing us in sealing the win.”

Cristobal said his team showed up with a great attitude to get ready to play at North Carolina this weekend.

Cristobal said, “I made the wrong call and I take complete ownership for it.”

Cristobal said he talked to his team about making the call. He said everything the team does is openly and honestly.
