MIAMI – Miami Marlins pitcher Trevor Rogers picked up a big honor on Monday.
Rogers was named the National League Rookie of the Month for April.

He’s the 10th Marlins players to earn the honor.
He’s the first Marlins player to win the award since Justin Bour in September 2015.
Rogers beat out his teammate shortstop Jazz Chisholm for the honors.
Rogers was 3-1 with 1.29 ERA and 38 strikeouts.
The Marlins drafted him in the first round of the 2017 draft.
